Program Focuses on Weight Loss and Healthy Living for Kids and Teens 10-18
Pontiac, Mich.—St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO) invites the public to a free fun and fitness night and Shapedown orientation for families interested in a healthy lifestyle at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, in the SJMO Franco Communications Center, 44405 Woodward Ave. Pontiac.
Shapedown is a six-week, high energy, healthy lifestyle program for families with children age 10 to 18. A team of professionals, including a registered dietitian, clinical social worker and certified exercise specialists, co-leads each session.
Classes will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning Oct. 10, in the Rehabilitation suite of the Woodward Professional Building, 44428 Woodward Ave., directly across the street from the hospital.
Registration deadline for the orientation is Sept. 26. To register for the orientation or for more information, contact Shapedown Coordinator Laura Williams by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 248-858-2547.
