New Urgent Care in White Lake Township
St. Joseph Mercy Oakland To Open Urgent Care Center In White Lake Township
Clinic to Treat Non-Emergency Injuries and Illness; Offers Outpatient Rehabilitation
Pontiac, Mich.—St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO) will open its newest urgent care center Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 in White Lake Township.
Located at 320 Town Center Blvd. (in the Village Lakes off Highland Road, just east of Elizabeth Lake Road), SJMO Urgent Care-White Lake will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. It is SJMO’s fourth urgent care location.
A community open house will be held at the new urgent care center on Saturday, March 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is open to the public and will include lunch, tours, giveaways and a chance to meet the staff.
The other SJMO urgent care centers are at 2110 E. Maple Rd. in Birmingham, 1375 S. Lapeer Rd. in Lake Orion and 5800 Highland Rd. in Waterford. The Urgent Care-White Lake telephone number is 248-758-7800.
Besides treatment for non-emergency injuries and illnesses, the White Lake location will offer outpatient rehabilitation (which is moving from Union Lake to this new location) and occupational medicine, general imaging and laboratory services. A physician’s order is required to receive rehabilitation, imaging or laboratory services.
Board-certified family medicine physicians offer treatment at the SJMO urgent care centers. Urgent care offers treatment for:
Minor asthma-related symptoms and bronchitis
Minor cuts or animal bites
Broken bones or sprains
Skin rashes, sunburns and minor burns
Upper respiratory and sinus infections
Illness with nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea
Eye infections, pink eye, sties
Skin infections (such as impetigo, cold sores and athlete’s foot)
Outpatient rehabilitation (physical/occupational therapy and speech and language pathology) services will be available weekdays at the White Lake location. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and Friday. The White Lake Rehabilitation phone number is 248-758-7790.
