St. Joseph Mercy Oakland To Host Community Program On ‘Impact Of Depression On Families’
Free Program Held in Observance of Mental Health Awareness Month
Pontiac, Mich.—St. Joseph Mercy Oakland’s (SJMO) Department of Behavioral Medicine will host a free community education program entitled, “Impact of Depression on Families,” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, in the hospital’s Franco Communications Center Baber Conference Room, 44405 Woodward Ave., Pontiac.
The program is held in observance of Mental Health Awareness Month.
The evening will include a panel discussion and question-and-answer period. Panelists include J. Scott Allen, MD; John Vetrano LMSW; and Mary Aldrich, MSN, Nurse Educator. The group will offer statistics on the incidence of depression in families and resources for those who seek assistance.
Light refreshments will be served. The public is invited free of charge. Free parking is available in the north parking lot adjacent to the SJMO Medical Office Building.
