St. Mary Mercy Hospital will achieve a milestone this fall when it opens a new 154,000-square-foot building that includes a state-of-the-art emergency center and 80 private patient rooms. The community is invited to celebrate this achievement at a grand opening being held 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 28 at St. Mary Mercy Hospital, 36475 Five Mile Road, Livonia.
Activities include tours of the new addition, health activities, Teddy Bear Clinic, and kids’ activities with clowns, balloon animals and face painting. Entertainment includes music by Steve King & the Dittilies, a special appearance from WDVD radio morning show host Blaine Flower from 12-2 p.m., strolling magicians, and photo opportunities with a National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Dragster Team driver and car as well the opportunity to meet our community rescue teams.
