Chelsea Community Hospital has been ranked in the top one percent of hospitals nationwide for physician satisfaction, according to its most recent Press Ganey survey results.
Chelsea’s physicians participated in a national survey of physicians across the country designed to measure their level of satisfaction with their own hospitals.
The categories scored on the survey were:
· Quality of patient care
· Ease of practice
· Summary assessment of their hospital
· Communication and collaboration with their Hospital Administration
· Whether they recommended their hospital to others
For every one of these categories (and in total), Chelsea’s physicians rated their overall satisfaction with CCH as:
· Top one percent of all hospitals nationally, and
· Top one percent for hospitals its size.
“We’re very pleased with the Press Ganey results, and they are a reflection of the positive environment that we work to maintain at our Hospital,” said Kathleen Griffiths, President and CEO of CCH. “Strong working relationships with our physicians are essential to our goal of providing exceptional care to our patients.”
Larry Handelsman, MD, Vice President of Medical Affairs at CCH, summarized the results of recent surveys: "This result of top 1 percent for physician satisfaction parallels our recent employee satisfaction survey result of top 2 percent nationally. Our staff provides superb care to our patients, our physicians and to each other. Such exceptional scores for physician and staff satisfaction create the foundation for great patient care."
