I heard the route changed, is this true?
Yes, due to construction on campus, we had to change the route slightly. It will start on the South end of the St. Mary Mercy camps this year and a few turns and streets were added to make up the difference in distance. Please note the course is not USATF Certified this year. View course map here
Where is the start line? The finish?
The start will take place on the south end of campus of St. Mary Mercy Hospital, 36475 Five Mile Road. Racers will finish in the parking lot of the Levan Medical Center (across from St. Mary Mercy on Levan Road). Please see our course map for the route.
What if I missed online registration, can I still register?
Yes! Packet pickup will be open Friday, September 5, 2014, noon to 7:00 p.m. at the Our Lady of Hope Cancer Center. You may also register on race day, September 7 from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Please bring cash or check.
Can I register someone else on at packet pick up or on race day?
Yes. Please bring his or her completed and signed registration form and payment with you.
When and where is packet pickup?
Packet pickup will be held Friday, September 5, 2014, noon to 7:00 p.m. at the Our Lady of Hope Cancer Center. Please use the South entrance of the hospital. Pickup will also be available on race day, Sunday, September 7, 2014, 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the south campus of St. Mary Mercy Hospital.
Where can I park for packet pickup?
Parking is available in the parking lots from the South Entrance on Levan. Download the parking map.
What's included in the race packet?
Your packet consists of your bib number with the attached B-tag chip for timing, safety pins and other goodies. You will also be able to pick up your ‘Embrace Life’ T-shirt.
Can I pick up someone else’s race packet?
Yes! You can pick up other racer’s packets if they have pre-registered; or, if you are submitting their completed and signed registration form with payment.
I don’t want to run or walk the 5K, but I’d like to donate to the cause. How can I?
Download our Registration Form and fill out the “Charitable Contribution” line under Fees. Fax, mail or bring it with you race day. Thank you for your support!
Where can I park on race day?
Race day parking is available in the lots off the Emergency Entrance on Levan Road. Download the parking map.
Can my dog run or walk with me in the event?
We love animals; however, neither dogs nor other pets are allowed to participate in the event.
Can I bring a stroller or jogger?
Running or walking strollers are permitted.
Will there be water stations along the 5K route?
Yes, just before the one mile marker and near the two mile marker (both sides of the road) and at the Finish Line.
Will there be medical personnel at the race?
Concord Ambulance will be on site during the event. In case of emergency, St. Mary Mercy is a full-service hospital.
Where are the bathrooms?
Prior to the race, participants may use restrooms located inside St. Mary Mercy off the South Lobby. Portable restrooms will be located at the finish area/parking lot of Levan Medical Center.
Is there an awards ceremony?
Yes! Immediately following the race, awards will be given out to the top three male and female overall racers and racers in each age category. Our post-race drawing will also take place as well as food for participants and fantastic sponsors near the finish line!
I won an award in my age division but couldn’t stay for the ceremony. Can I get my medal?

How can I view the results?
Race results will be posted immediately following the race near the finish line. They will also be posted on our race results page and runmichigan.com/results.
I saw a photographer at the race, where can I view my photos?
Photos will be posted in the photo gallery. All photos will be available at sadlershots.com sometime following the race. You may download a free copy of your photos as well as order prints for a fee.
